Further information
The 'A Club for All' workshop outlines how your club can benefit from including all members of the community, and explains how to reach out to them through a better understanding of your local area. It could help you recruit young people, older people, those on low incomes, disabled people and people from ethnic minorities.
Your club will benefit from understanding equality in sport, taking stock of where you are now and identifying where you can make improvements to current practice. The workshop provides plenty of information on how to develop an action plan and which organisations can help you make it happen. Including practical advice on developing local contacts with agencies that can help with projects, funding, activities, volunteer training and recognition.
By attracting more members from your local area, club and teams become part of the community and ensure your own survival in the future while contributing to community spirit.
By demonstrating diversity and equality of opportunity, clubs are more likely to gain access to funding and quality ratings like Clubmark
