Forwarded by Alan Mitchell,
Cornwall RFU Hon. Secretary.
The following letter was sent to Francis Baron, RFU Chief Executive Officer, by St. Austell RFC Secretary Graham Walker. It was forwarded to the Cornwall RFU website by Alan Mitchell who thought it would be of interest to a wider audience.
Dear Francis
I am writing to express the sincere thanks of all members of St Austell RFC for the kind treatment of Kyle Robinson, 13, at Twickenham on Saturday 21st November.
Kyle was injured in a tackle two weeks ago. He underwent major surgery to repair a dislocated hip and spent five days in hospital. His parents Mark and Tracey decided to bring him to the game despite that fact that he was readmitted last Thursday with an infection.
At my request, and at very short notice, the staff in the ticket office organised disabled access and a meeting with the players after the game. Naturally Kyle and his family were delighted.
Thank you to all of your players and managers who took the time to talk to Kyle and have their photo taken. Thank you in particular to Linda Cook from the ticket Office and Lucie Bonsey from Communications who could not have been more helpful.
Yours in rugby
Graham Walker
Secretary, St Austell RFC
