The Cornwall Rugby Football Union is set to lose a most valued administrator – Honorary Secretary, Roger Watson, has resigned and will attend his final meeting in January.  Recently, he has been unwell, he and his wife, Nikki, have decided to move to Newport to be closer to their daughter.

Job Vacancy - Honorary Handbook Editor

The CRFU requires a volunteer to compile and edit the CRFU Handbook.

The Handbook Editor will compile all information for the CRFU Handbook, this will include being a point of contact for all Cornish clubs.  The successful candidate needs to be both computer literate and familiar with desktop publishing software.

England Counties Call Up

Congratulations to Ben Hilton, Craig Williams and Matt Shepherd, who have been selected to play for England Counties in their tour of Romania. They will be travelling out to meet up with the squad right after the County Championship final.

Cornwall RFU Announces New 3 Year Sponsorship Deal

Three-year Tribute sponsorship deal


Cornwall Rugby Football Union (CRFU) has secured a three-year sponsorship agreement with Tribute Cornish Pale Ale at a vital time as RFU funding for county representative rugby continues to diminish.


The sponsorship deal between St Austell Brewery and the CRFU was announced at a meeting of RFU committee members and players at Kingsley Village held this week, and will see Tribute Cornish Pale Ale featured on the new Cornwall 2015 kit. The deal also confirms the brewery’s support for the Cornwall Cup for the next three years.

CRFU PDS Level 1 course

Following the success of last year’s CRFU Coaches Day presentation by Mark Bennett we are now very pleased to be able to offer the opportunity attend a PDS Level 1 course in Cornwall.

The cost has been heavily subsidised by the Cornwall RFU, enabling the amount per person to be reduced to £25.

The dates of the course are the 8th February and the 15th March at Penryn RFC, each day will run from 09:30 to 17:00 (you will need to attend both days).
