Cornish girls selected for Centre of Excellence Program

Centre of Excellence Trials for Cornwall's Girls

Following nomination by their coaches, 16 representatives of last season's Cornwall Girls U18s and U15s squads have been invited for trials for the RFU Centre of Excellence programme for 2019/20.

The Centre of Excellence programme is the next step on from County competition on the Player Pathway in girls rugby, delivered at Bristol Bears and the other Tyrrells Premier 15s clubs.

Focusing on individual player skills, acceptance to the numerous advanced sessions delivered by the Centre of Excellence across the season can provide both a massive boost to the playing abilities of the accepted individuals, and to the strength of their clubs and Cornwall too!

The girls attending the trials at Bristol Bears Women's Shaftesbury Park on July 7th are Mia Abbott-Smith, Lizzie Langton, Nadine Vincent, Beth Marks, Megan Moriarty, Mia Wray, Louise Daniel, Chloe Shrosbee, Olivia Rowland (all Cornwall U18s); Evie Curnow, Paige Clarke, Lily Jehu, Sophie Daniel, Abby Smith, Hannah Davies, Betty Matthews (all Cornwall U15s).

Best of luck girls!
