Bolingey Barbarians were invited by St Just RFC to celebrate their 50th Anniversary at Tregeseal by playing a Veteran's match. 28 players and 46 non-playing Barbarians travelled on two buses, using different routes, for the match on Sunday 18 February 2018. Many more made their own way together with the Chairman of CRFU, Denis Preece and CRFU Council Representative, Alan Milliner.
This was St Just rugby at its very best, hospitality that cannot be matched anywhere, played in a thick mist, a match where scores do not matter, and it will remain in our memories for a long time. That so many entered into the spirit of the day is testimony to both the love and respect that Cornish Rugby has for this the most south westerly of all Clubs.
When the day had finished it was learnt that £1700 had been raised for disadvantaged children in Cornwall.
