Club's Safeguarding Audit Due

CLUBS are reminded that they should complete their annual RFU Safeguarding self-audit by Monday,  September 30, 2019.

The audit can be found in the questionnaire section of GMS. If you completed the audit before Monday, August 16, could you please double check that the status is ‘submitted’ if it states that the questionnaire is ‘open’ please submit again.

The self-audit will help the RFU and your Constituent Body safeguarding managers to identify clubs that may need some further support in safeguarding; CBSMs will continue to undertake a more in depth audit with 10 per cent of their clubs.

If your club does not have an age grade section, or 17-year-olds playing adult rugby, please just declare this on the form and you will not be expected to answer further questions.

The RFU Safeguarding team are happy to answer any questions, or offer assistance and can be contacted by emailing

Note.

On your club's GMS account click on Organisation Profile and then look for Questionnaires.

Launch of Cornwall YRA

The CRFU in partnership with the England Rugby Development Team, are kick starting the new Cornwall Young Rugby Ambassador Program on Sunday 19th May @ St Austell RFC, 10am - 1pm. The program will be for 14-24 year olds looking to develop their skills and knowledge in areas such as Club Management, Coaching and Refereeing.

The first event on the 19th will be a kick start to the new program. So all current YRA’s and as many new potential YRA’s as we can find are invited. We will be discussing what the new program looks like, what is expected of our YRA’s throughout, and we will also chat through the incentives we have in mind to help with creating the identity we’d like our YRA’s to have in the county.

If you attend the day and sign up to the program we also might have some goodies for you to start your Cornwall YRA journey!!

Please share this with all in your club and to anyone you feel would like to get involved. If you have any questions please feel free to ask away.
