Dickon Moon welcomes Tom Sincock as the club's new Head Coach

London Cornish RFC is delighted to confirm the appointment of Tom Sincock as the club's new Head Coach. Sincock, a Cornishman, is a former Redruth, and Clifton player who has represented Cornwall at all levels and also the British Police. He has spent the last 9 years at Civil Service Rugby Club here in London as they have risen into the National Leagues, the last 3 of which have been as Assistant Coach and High Performance Manager. Commenting on the appointment Sincock added "I'm really looking forward to joining Cornish and working with Dickon and the team. It's a club with huge potential, belief and spirit and hopefully I can help move the team forward to the next level. Being a Cornishman it's an honour to have been asked to take on the Head Coach role and I can't wait for pre-season to start!" Director of Rugby Dickon Moon, pictured here welcoming Sincock to the clubs Telegraph Inn HQ on Putney Heath, adds "The season just passed has demonstrated to the Committee just what could be achieved with a little more investment in the coaching side here at LCRFC (all 4 of the clubs teams reached their highest ever positions). We are very grateful to our Gold Sponsors Skinners Brewery and Robert Walters for enabling us to bring in someone of Tom's calibre, and I look forward to working with him in building a squad capable of taking the club on again. We are particularly keen to reconnect the club with West Country players in the capital, and we will be scouring London in the close season to do just that!"

The CRFU is pleased to highlight one of our more distant affiliated clubs.  Now celebrating its 50th anniversary, London Cornish RFC is not only going from strength to strength, but makes the trip down to Cornwall every year to take part in the Arthur Hunt Memorial Cup.

To hgihlight the London RFC to all Cornish Exiles living 'up-country', we've reproduced an article on their history, along with one of their latest stories.

Take a moment to visit their site.  Who knows, when you're next in London, try to make your way along to the their home ground, the Richard Evans Memorial Ground.  It's located on Kingston Vale (A3 South), on the Putney Side of Robin Hood roundabout. It's easy to spot as in recent seasons it has become the Training HQ of Harlequins RFC, and is signposted both for them and LCRFC.
